STOCKBRIDGE ISSUES STATEMENT REGARDING THE JODECO PROJECT

Stockbridge Issues Statement
Regarding the Jodeco Project

Stockbridge, Georgia- January 22, 2019- The City of Stockbridge remains committed to serving its citizens at the highest level and being properly positioned for a prosperous future. The city has taken intentional steps over the past year to broaden opportunities for economic development and sustainability. We were disappointed to learn that Henry County has placed an item on its upcoming agenda related to the Jodeco (Everly) Project. A few years ago, this property was litigated and the City of Stockbridge prevailed. The Jodeco (Everly) Project remains within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Stockbridge. The developers of the project have consistently indicated they want to remain in the City of Stockbridge.

"It is unfortunate that Henry County did not reach out to the City of Stockbridge and have formal conversations regarding this matter," said Stockbridge Mayor Anthony Ford. "The City of Stockbridge remains resolute in working in collaboration with Henry County and all of its cities to provide the highest level of service and quality of life to citizens. We remain steadfast in ensuring that the Jodeco (Everly) Project develops in the manner in which it was originally envisioned as a substantial mixed-use project which will provide regional retail, restaurant and entertainment options."

Stockbridge will celebrate 100 years of cityhood in 2020. The City of Stockbridge continues to strive to be the most progressive business and family oriented community in Metropolitan Atlanta with a strong focus on enhanced quality of life initiatives which promote a sustainable "live, work, play" environment. The City of Stockbridge believes that people are the most valuable asset in delivering services to all citizens.
